I find those Apple ads that bash Microsoft all the time somewhat amusing. All computers are vulernable to virus, worms, remote exploits, etc., but from Apples ads they make it seem like they are invincible and don’t have these issues. Really the only safe one is that the one that is completely unplugged, but that is subject to physical theft.
When I saw this article that said Apple has released 45 fixes today it made me laugh. Article on NEWS.com and Apple’s info on the fixes.
So New Jersey always gets a bad rap about smelling bad. I have to admit that if you just came in to Newark Airport and drove south on I-95/New Jersey Turnpike, that you would certainly feel this way as you got a big whiff of sulfer from the refineries.
Last night I went out to dinner with Susan and my parents. When we left the house there was a very strong smell in the air which smelled like maple syrup. This is not the first time this has happened in this area. Last time there were no leads as to what caused this. In the news: NY1 Story for yesterday’s smell and Gothamist Story from 2005
All I know is it smelled good and I wanted pancakes!!! Hopefuly it wasn’t something toxic.
If you follow hockey or sports at all you have probably heard about this by now. In the Rangers vs. Islanders game on March 8th, Ryan Hollweg of the Rangers hit Chris Simon from behind. Depending on who analyzed the hit some say it was clean some say not. I think a penalty could have been called on the initial hit, but what Simon did to retaliate is inexcusable. I personally feel that he should be suspended for the rest of the season including playoffs as well as all of next season. Whacking somebody with your stick should not be tollerated especially across the face. If you haven’t seen the clip check it out below and you can decide.
The NHL is set to rule on this today. Hopefully they won’t base the suspension on the fact that Hollweg wasn’t seriously injured. Simon used his stick as a weapon and from the video clip, it appears that there was a clear intent to injure.
